Dancing with Shadows

Through the songs that nature sings to her, Belinda Raitt uncovers her philosophy of life and shares this with us in her poems. This collection of poetry gathers together all the poems she has written since she has found her home among the olive trees in rural Central Portugal. In the two volumes, she takes her readers on a dance of discovery through love, life, nature, shadow and back to the light, challenging us to face up to the darker sides of life too, to recognise that it’s from dancing with the shadows, rather than avoiding them, that makes them lighter and sets us free to transform into who we are meant to be.
